CREDIT TABLE
The standard credit system in the US is 1, 2, 3.4 or 5 credits per course. AAU grants an average of 3 credits per course in Phases 1 and 2 (credits awarded for work experience vary depending on the level of studies). Once the student begins Phase 3, the degree thesis will have the amount of credits specified in the table below.
It is important to keep in mind that each academic institution worldwide has its own internal statutes and in many cases, they must comply with the laws of the country where they are established. If the concept of “transferring credits” to another institution is the primary objective of your studies in AAU, the student is responsible to verify this before beginning the study program. The different academic institutions evaluate the transfer of credits according to their own criteria. Some academic institutions are flexible in accepting credits from other institutions, but others are restrictive.
AAU accepts credits obtained from different academic institutions around the world. AAU also recognizes the academic and work experience that the student has had in the program of his or her interest. The Academic Department will analyze and evaluate the different documentation supplied by the student and at its discretion will grant academic credits to the student.
Below you will see the credit table (average) of the different programs that AAU offers:
24 is the total number of credits needed to finish the certificates study program.
The program contains 8 mandatory modules for development. Each course grants 3 credits each which are already established by the university.
AAU offers its students the selection of courses based on the criteria of the academic counselor.
